On October 22, Nanjing Shuangwei Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Blood Transfusion of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences held a project cooperation signing ceremony on "Industrialization of Technical Achievements of Blood Pathogen Inactivation System" in Shuangwei Biological Industrial Park. Sunway Biology has long focused on the development and production of blood component treatment medical devices for transfusion in the field of safe blood transfusion. The Institute of Blood Transfusion of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences is a national blood transfusion medical research institution. Under the guidance of the Chinese Medical Health Innovation Project, a new type of blood pathogen inactivation project has been developed, which can further reduce the risk of pathogen transmission. In order to make this project better serve the society, the two sides held consultations for half a year and finally signed the contract smoothly. The achievement of this cooperation will further improve the level of blood safety, and at the same time will have long-term significance for enhancing the international competitiveness of medical devices in the field of safe blood transfusion in my country. Once the results of this innovative project are completed, it will fill the domestic gap.
